G.R.I.P.H is the first small business in Washington state to focus on livestock predator conflict mitigation, and also wildlife human conflict mitigation. My horse Griph and I started this business in 2012 with the dream that humans and wildlife can coexist. I believe that with an open mind determination and respect for all involved parties a balance with the natural world can be made.
This business offers services to any member of the community. We specialize in teaching predators and other wildlife to avoid unwanted behaviors using non-lethal aversive conditioning methods. Most of our focus is preventing livestock on public and private lands from being a food source to the predators sharing that same ecosystem. But we also assist in cases where individuals are dealing with problematic wildlife encounters at their home or business.
One of our greatest tools for conflict mitigation on such expansive lands is Range Riding. This means that G.R.I.P.H utilizes horses in a lot of the work that we do. All but two of these animals were rescued from slaughter and given a chance at life again. These horses now have a home for life, good food, clean water, friends, and an important job. Helping horses off the slaughter line is something that G.R.I.P.H takes a special interest in, and will continue to do so into the future.
G.R.I.P.H offers a variety of unique outdoor experiences to the public. Some of these include but are not limited to, Range Rider for a day, guided horseback trips and other outdoor opportunities. These opportunities are designed to help the public to have a once in a life time experience in a way that they normally wouldn’t be able to.
G.R.I.P.H is highly engaged in educating the public about wildlife, the issues surrounding coexisting with wildlife and other important applicable topics. Numerous educational opportunities are available through G.R.I.P.H, and can be tailored to any needs.
