GRIPH will assist in finding equilibrium among people and animals
so they may coexist in peace together.
so they may coexist in peace together.
Here at G.R.I.P.H, we try to help find a balance with the people that chose to live in rural areas and the wildlife that they call their neighbors. We acknowledge that it is important for people to be able to enjoy their culture and function and live how they want. This is after all why most of us have moved to these remote areas. Also we recognize the intrinsic importance of having a full and healthy ecosystem with an abundance of all wildlife. And that each individual wild animal matters.
G.R.I.P.H’s belief is, that when you live in a rural area you should ensure that you are doing everything in your ability to live responsibly and respectfully with the wildlife around you. The people that live on the fringes of wild lands have a relationship with the surrounding wildlife. This relationship exists whether we acknowledge it or not. What we do in our everyday lives directly affects wildlife and alters their behavior. Our specific patterns have a direct cause and effect on how animals coexist within areas that we inhabit. When our actions leave advantageous “loop holes” that animals will naturally take advantage of, situations can be created that can have negative outcomes for humans and animals. Interactions are bound to happen whether you are inadvertently attracting wild animals with your behaviors or the meetings are just chance. Here at G.R.I.P.H we want to help insure the interactions stay positive and enriching to both human and animal. We believe this is possible when approached with an open mind and a true want for solutions.
Since we are working with wild animals our methodology varies greatly due to the specific nature and needs of each unique situation. Our main goal remains the same throughout the process though. We believe that a balance can be made between humans and animals that allow them to live in relative peace. We help educate the public on how to live with certain wildlife while maintaining their respective lifestyle. We also help educate animals in how to operate on a landscape that is ever changing with human activity while maintaining their specific interests. This can be a tricky process for both human and animal. But once a balance is found harmony can exist.
